This full-day camp is designed to be a little bit more advanced than the Magic Wizard Scratch Programming Camp, for campers who have graduated from that camp or equivalently advanced in computer technology learning. The students will be building a multi-level game in this camp, with various audio and visual transitions. Everyone in the camp will have a dedicated computer so everyone can follow the instructors in real-time and can practice on-demand. The campers will get a 15 minutes break every hour.

This camp is designed to get campers started on Java programming, and study a variety of interesting programs. Java data types such as strings, integers, booleans and arrays will be introduced; conditionals and loops will be motivated and used; various input and output modalities will also be experimented. Armed with these basic building blocks, students are encouraged to harness the power of computer to solve all sorts of fascinating problems. The students have the choice to build a game, or solve a math puzzle, or create an art piece using their newly learned language in their final project.

This half-day camp is designed to unveil the secret of computer programming and animation to young kids, and enable them to create various animation themselves, and result in an animated story or a playable game to share with the world. The programming language to be used is the Scratch language from MIT. Students will also learn to use select graphics tools for creating animation characters. Everyone in the camp will have a dedicated computer so everyone can follow the instructors in real-time and can practice on-demand. The campers will get a 15 minutes break every hour.

This half-day camp is designed to show the young kids what they can do with computers, to empower them with a seed of possibility and creativity. The kids will learn digital drawing, photo editing, music creation, music editing, and some animation. This 2-week full-day Java programming camp is designed for high school students or middle school students with strong math background. Prior experience in programming is helpful but not required. With a fast introduction to basic programming concepts and Java syntax, the classes will emphasize Object Oriented Programming perspective of the language. Furthermore, recursion and iterations, sorting and search algorithms will be introduced and applied in real problem solving. This camp also aims to facilitate the campers preparation for their APCS test. The students are also encouraged to propose, refine and finish a programming project during the camp.

This full-day camp is designed to enable elementary kids to use the Scratch programming language to create a playable computer game in one week. It aims to make your child become a creator of games from a consumer of games. Important computational and math concepts related to animation, score keeping, scene change, etc are introduced to the young mind, through the process of building a game incrementally. Faster learners may have opportunity to build multiple games in the camp. Everyone in the camp will have a dedicated computer so everyone can follow the instructors in real-time and can practice on-demand. The campers will get a 15 minutes break every hour.

This 2-week full-day camp is designed for those who would like to learn web and mobile app programming. Besides basic web architecture and design concepts, the classes cover essential web programming tools/languages such as HTML5, CSS and Javascript. The students are expected to tinker a series of dynamic/interactive web pages/applications during the course, and build a complete application as their camp project for the first week. In second week, the students will then apply what they learn in first week to build cross-platform mobile applications that work both on Android and iOS devices. Prior programming experience is helpful but not required.

This full-day camp is design for students with more advanced math background. A high-level computer programming language such as Python or Ruby will be taught. The campers will learn to use the language to build a playable game to share with family and friends, to appreciate the power of a programming language, and to be prepared for more advanced learning. Everyone in the camp will have a dedicated computer so everyone can follow the instructors in real-time and can practice on-demand. The campers will get a 15 minutes break every hour.

Imagine a musical instrument that produces music based on light and hand motion. This is what this camp is enabling the campers to do. The campers will learn about basics of electronics, computer programming, work with sensors and actuation, and a mini computer. They will use what they learn to build a context aware music instrument. This is a "hacker grade" class. The campers will take home the complete project board after the camp for future exploration. Additional hardware material fee will apply.

In this 2-week full-day camp, the students will learn basic electronics and the python programming language to work with a Arduino micro-controller, to build an intelligent sensing and actuation system. We provide a variety of sensors and actuators for the students to choose and experiment with, and work with them to create and refine their camp projects: either a home security system, an intelligent robot, a novel music instrument, or other projects they might choose. Maker spirit and creativity are encouraged and celebrated throughout this camp. Prior programming experience is helpful but not required. Additional hardware material fee will apply.
